YES! Baked French Fries without the crisp and the oils. I must say though that the french fries we buy at our local fast food joints are ALWAYS so perfect. They give you the perfect crunch with the right flavors and your tastebuds are salivating in your mouth and of course, the craving of french fries have been met!! Yes, I am a lover of french fries, because I don’t have much of a sweet tooth but on the other side, I don’t crave salt like heart pounding salt that makes my heart race when something is too salty. I love french fries and the warmth of them in my mouth is so satisfying. Having the french fries are very healthy and coming up with some of my own made more sense of striving to be healthy.
Obviously performing my own DIY in making my own Baked French Fries was by far more cost effective and healthier. I say healthier because they were not thrown into a fryer cooked with oil but the calories of potatoes are full of starch, which makes it the unhealthy side. But what can I say? We can splurge on our diet from time to time right?
I visited my local grocery store and grabbed three potatoes. Having two people in my household to feed, that was a lot of fries. But it’s ok, the fries were seasoned well with full flavors, the softness and warmth of the baked french fries were delicious and yummy. I will say though that I will have to bring out my fryer and make a batch of my french fries and fill that fryer up with oil.
Do you have a favorite burger joint or French Fries you love? I know these are not the healthiest ones and again not in this order of my liking, but the fries I love are: Carl’s Jr., McDonalds, In N Out, Jack in the Box and Red Robin. I must sound like I am a French Fry Freak!!
Well, shall we get this recipe started and make a healthier alternative to having French Fries?
