A quick strawberry treat dipped in chocolate for a gift or for someone special or just for yourself after a long week seals the deal! Here is a quick recipe I used to cover my strawberries. They were so delicious and fun to make. Plus the chocolate I used was the Palmer brand, so it made it even more perfect. Any kind of chocolate and brand will work just the same.
- Chocolate (white, milk, dark, caramel)
- Parchmant/Wax Paper
- Ziploc Bag (Optional)
- Chocolate Flavor (Optional: white, milk, dark, caramel)
Microwave: Heat the chocolate with a couple squares at a time. Heat them on low and stir occasionally. Every microwave has different wattage powers so be careful not to burn your chocolate.
Stove: Place pot/saucepan on the stove, poor in all the chocolate you wish to use, let melt, and stir occasionally.
Wash strawberries. Be sure to pat them nice and dry with a paper towel as the moisture from the strawberries will change the consistency of your chocolate.
Once your chocolate has been melted, lay your sheet of parchment/wax paper on your counter top. Begin to dip the strawberry into the chocolate. Cover the strawberry to your liking and place the berry on the parchment/wax paper to harden. Repeat this step until all your strawberries are dipped! Adding the extra spunk to your berries, I used a sandwich-sized Ziploc bag to melt some dark chocolate. Once it was melted, the chocolate was tilted to one side of the bag. Twist the excess plastic on the Ziploc bag creating a tight pouch with the chocolate on one side. Cut the corner of the Ziploc bag to a very small tip, creating an opening for your chocolate to drizzle out. Decorate your strawberries and you’re ready to enjoy once the chocolate design has hardened! Hope you found this fun and easy to do. What a treat!!
